    Re: P.V. possible 1-3 start?

Could this team be 10 and 0 don't know that but if the had scheduled some of the pancakes some of these other teams do they would be 4and 0 right now. because Phil tries to play the best teams he can get to prepair for district play he is now 1 and 3 lets see how the boys respond now because the important season begins Friday. With what they have been through the last three weeks the season won't get much tougher, they need to get healthy and prepair for one game at a time. as that will be the most important game of the year for them now the next one. Take care of business and the playoffs are possible, if not 1 and 9 could be the end result if they dwell on the past.

    Agree 100%.

I'd much rather see PV test themselves by playing really tough OOC games, instead of breezing thru ****ty cupcakes.

If PV uses their losses the right way, and the toughness from losing those games helps instead of hinders, they can win 4/5 out of 6 remaining games.
Hell, 6 out of 6 if they play their hardest, and catch a few breaks.
PV always plays GC tough, GC(3-1) people I guarantee will not count PV as an easy game, neither will JIB(4-0), CW(4-0), or JJK(4-0).

You are right. PV always plays GC tough. It never is an easy game and I dont think it ever will be. PV played a really good Richlands team tough and could have won.

I totally agree, the officiating was bad, myron got banged up, etc.. and still only lost by 5.

GC has to come here, maybe that would make a difference if PV didnt have the worst crowd in the LPD

I hate it for the kids, but if Phil never wins another game, then I'm happy. Most dispicable human ever.

    Re: P.V. possible 1-3 start?

There are pros and cons to a tough schedule like PV has.....

    Pros:

Prepares you better for offseason and competition for later down the road

    Cons:

Starting 1-3 instead of 4-0 or 3-1 can really get in the heads of high school kids and shatter their confidence.
Injuries can tend to pile up more when playing in tougher games but not always
With the losses you can schedule your way right out of the playoffs and all that preparation for tougher competition later down the road means jack squat.

I am sure there are more but IMO the cons definitely outweight the pros for scheduling like that. I think there should be a happy medium

PV football is all about Phil's ego - there is no other consideration. He is an egomaniac. He has never developed any relationship with the kids there. He won't let his coaches coach, he is in a world all his own - and when he doesn't have the talent to cover for his inept coaching, they flounder. It's simple - he can't coach, he has no HR skills. He's a blundering idiot pure and simple.

plantsman either coached at PV or got chewed out by Robbins at some point in his life.

    Re: P.V. possible 1-3 start?

IMO, Robbins isn't the only person to blame for PV's record thus far. The talent isn't excatly the best that's ever come through there...the schedule is tough, and given that the Richlands game could have went either way, PV could easily be 2-2 right now. And, finally, PV doesn't have the greatest fans on the face of the earth. That being said, PV could still finish with as many as 7 wins or as little as 4. No team on PVs schedule is unbeatable..but sometimes as a player you have to reach down for that little extra and pull a game out. PV used to have players that would do that...nowdays it seems they (fans and players alike) are content to find an excuse for why they can't do it.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....
